Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 8, 2026

1. Introduction

Pathway UPSC ("we", "us", "our") operates pathwayupsc.com and provides coaching for UPSC CAPF, CDS, NDA and other defence and civil services examinations. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or purchasing a course, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: name, email address, phone number, city and target exam, collected when you register or submit a contact enquiry. Payment information: course purchases are processed by Razorpay. We store the resulting payment status, amount and Razorpay order/payment IDs for your records — we never receive or store your card, UPI or bank account details. Usage information: basic technical data such as pages visited and device/browser type, used only to keep the site working reliably.

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your student account and course access. To process payments and maintain your payment history. To respond to enquiries and provide customer support. To send important updates about your enrolled courses, batches or schedule changes. With your consent, to share current affairs digests, new batch announcements and study material over email, phone or WhatsApp. We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

4. Sharing of Information

We share information only with service providers necessary to run the platform — currently Razorpay for payment processing and our hosting provider for storing website data. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only to provide their service to us. We do not share your data with advertisers.

5. Cookies & Sessions

We use a single secure, encrypted, httpOnly session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Data Security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing (bcrypt) and are never visible to our staff. Access to paid course materials and PDFs is protected by server-side permission checks tied to your enrollment, not by guessable links. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and payment information for as long as your account is active and thereafter as needed to comply with tax, accounting and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

8. Children's Privacy

Our courses are intended for aspirants preparing for competitive examinations and are not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data without parental consent, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the email below. You may also update your profile details directly from your student dashboard.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

11. Grievance Officer

In accordance with applicable Indian data protection law, any grievance regarding the processing of your personal data may be addressed to our Grievance Officer at pathwayupsc1@gmail.com or +91 9142239060. We aim to acknowledge and resolve grievances within a reasonable time.
